Welp….I feel like the Seahawks are in the damned if you do, damned if you don't cycle were when the offense is clicking, the defense is garbage. When the Defense is playing lights out, Hawks can't score any points. Thus is the frustration of a season that is quickly slipping away after a disappointing 17-0 loss last week to the Packers. I can't believe I'm typing this, but it looked like they'd had a better shot of winning with Geno Smith.
Russell looked about as bad as you will ever see him. Did he come back too soon? Was he just Rusty? Regardless, last week felt like another blown opportunity. The silver lining coming out of this one is the defense continues to be playing at a high level, and the offense has too much talent to continue to struggle. Though they'll need to put it together immediately. At 3-6 overall, they might've dug themselves too deep a hole. Up next: An 8-2 1st place Cardinals team. Though they're dealing with injuries to some of their biggest stars, and those injuries caught up with them in last weeks 34-10 loss to the Panthers. If the D continues to play the way they have recently and Russ can shake the rust, is bleak as it feels, this is a winnable game.
