The end of July is here and the adventures are in full force. This past weekend, Andrew and I headed to Sutherlin, Oregon to visit my family for the weekend. One of our fun moments of this trip was Wild Life Safari which is located in Roseburg, Oregon. This town is about 2.5-3 hours away from Portland, but worth the drive!
Wild Life Safari is specifically known for their success in breeding Cheetahs! While it has a “zoo” like feel, you actually get to drive around in their large habitats. It takes about 30-45 minutes to drive through the whole park, and you can see Bears, Bison, Elk, Cheetahs, Tigers, Emu’s, Hippo’s, Lemurs… and much more. There are also opportunities to ride a Camel, get an Elephant Car Wash, and there are special viewings of other animals where you can learn more about them.
This place is very clean and does a great job handling the animals. My favorite part was feeding the Roosevelt Elk by hand and having the monkeys mock us! It’s a great family event and I highly recommend experiencing the Wildlife Safari.
