Ayo 12s!
The Seahawks season is in full swing and we were graced with the first win of the year coming at Ford Field in Detroit!
This was one heck of a nail-biter to sit through! Not gonna lie, the first half had me scratching my head, truly not knowing if we had what it took to bring down the suddenly competitive Lions. But the boys showed their grit and made a heck of a comeback, eventually putting together the perfect drive to walk it off in overtime. So proud of this squad!
Along with the win, we saw the inaugural game for our brand new corner Devon Witherspoon. Accounting for the fact that he saw virtually no preseason time, 5 tackles and 1 pass defense is a respectable opening to the season, especially against the Lions. We'll all just forget about the flea-flicker that he got caught sleeping on...Welcome to the NFL.
It was also good to see that the Offensive Line substitutions were a good fit as Geno took 1 (really bad) sack, down from the 2 he suffered through last week, and his perfect no-interception record remains in tact.
All-in-all, a harrowing game that I'm glad to see we survived and thrived on. Now time to turn our sites back home to host the Panthers! Seahawks football is back baby! With that...Mike Hawk is OUT!
