What years did you work at KISW?

2006-2023

Favorite KISW Memory?

The first Live Day, and that just beats out our first I’m Listening, mental health and suicide awareness national broadcast.

Favorite KISW Event?

The themed ones!  I loved dressing as Ozzy, the Dude from the Big Lebowski, Devo and so many more!

A story you can’t tell people?

I can tell people now… pretty much for my whole career in rock radio, I knew very little about the music. My knowledge and appreciation grew over the years, but it’s not something that I could freely admit to the Rockaholics. And I was always more interested in comedy and morning radio than the music itself. That’s why Steve and Danny were so valuable on the show, because they were super fans of the music.

Favorite memory meeting a rock star?

Eddie Vedder. Never in a million years did I think I would be able to impress him, but my ayahuasca trip in Peru, fascinated him so much that he called me the coolest guy on the radio. He was also a very down to earth guy, that impressed me for how popular he was.

What are you up to now?

I’m a new grandpa. I’m boardgaming like crazy and doing lots of reading about behavioral science and mental health. It’s only been a year since I’ve not been working and I’m still getting used to not having to get up so early… and I like that A LOT!
