OFFICIAL BIO:
When four of Seattle’s top musicians decided to team up; the result was Glenn Cannon and the Damage Done. Glenn Cannon (of Windowpane & Bruiser Brody – Guitar & Vocals), Lance McKay (of Surreal Sutra, Dave Brock’s Doors Experience, Black Ant Army, Dire Fire - Keys), Jeff Eason (of Casualty of God, Larry Mitchell, The Flood, Scream Radio, Lifelike Feel - Bass) & Lui Williams (of Out from Underneath, Larry Mitchell, Late September Dogs - Drums) wasted no time. They entered the studio with Glenn’s longtime friend, producer and musical co-conspirator Brett Eliason to track what became “Devil in the Sunshine”. The album dropped in July of 2019 and immediately captured the hearts of the Seattle music scene. Via the four players popularity from previous projects and deep roots in the Seattle music
community a built in and rabid fan base was anxiously awaiting their debut.
The group’s album release party at Seattle’s legendary Crocodile was a standing room only affair. KISW 99.9FM Seattle’s Premier Rock Station featured the band’s new material on air and went on to showcase the group at ‘KISW Live Day’ the station’s award-winning yearly broadcast event which averages 600,000 plus listeners.
In the months that followed the release the 4 worked the region hard growing their following, playing both festival and club events throughout Washington, Oregon and Idaho. The response to the band’s amazing live shows and new
material was overwhelming. “Devil in the Sunshine” is an album that spans multiple genres and flavors. From Led Zeppelin to Muse, Pink Floyd to Royal Blood, Robin Trower to Pearl Jam, The Beatles to Alice in Chains; Glenn Cannon and the Damage Done’s throwback rock vibe with modern radio rock and even pop sensibilities struck a deep chord with
music lovers and fans of live music alike.
Coming into 2022, and in the wake of the pandemic that crushed the entertainment industry; the band is set to release 6
new singles. The songs were chosen from the well over 30 songs written during the Covid lockdown. While the world stood still, The Damage Done worked hard to support local venues, being featured in multiple fund-raising live stream events from which all proceeds were donated to the host club. Now, as things slowly return to normal, the band is on track to get back to touring and getting their new material out into the world.
“A true band of brothers from other mothers. Four great musicians, visibly having fun and creating an outstanding modern-retro rock sound!... Glenn Cannon is the current King of Rock in the Seattle area scene. Glenn's intelligent songwriting truly expresses his love of music, and gives a nod to 70's era Arena Rock, while staying in the lane of the
current rock sound. Moreover, his dirty six string razor play promotes visions of great guitarists, such as Robin Trower,
Billy Gibbons, and Brian May. Glenn Cannon and the Damage Done is a must listen, and a definite must see in concert!”
