Many holiday traditions are on hold due to the global pandemic, but there's one holiday tradition you can still safely do this season - visit PNW Christmas light displays!
Whether you're in the in the North Sound like me, the South Sound like Steve Migs or the big city like Thee Ted Smith, there's a place nearby that will get you into the holiday spirit - guaranteed.
In my neck of the woods, The Lights of Christmas is a longstanding tradition that found a way to function during these challenging times. It's a drive-thru lights show this year! My family caravanned through recently and it did not disappoint. Barrett absolutely LOVED it, and they even had the famous, melt-in-your-mouth mini donuts available.
If you're to the south, one of the most stunning light displays I've ever see is the Zoolights at Point Defiance Zoo! This year, they added something new to the mix highlighting our collective excitement for all things Seattle Kraken, so be looking for this addition next to the giant octopus!
Sticking with the animal theme... if you're in the big city, you should check out what's new at Woodland Park Zoo! What's normally called WildLights is now WildLanterns this year, with enormous animal illuminations scattered throughout the zoo.
Between mandatory face coverings, one-way paths, reservations and online ticketing, you'll feel safe and secure this holiday season while making memories to last a lifetime!
Happy Adventuring (from a safe social distance),
