Hey all you Rockaholics! Seattle Rock Day is back on April 7th!
In case this is your first Seattle Rock Day with us, Seattle Rock Day is our annual celebration where we drop everything we typically do on a Thursday to reflect on Seattle's amazing rock legacy. So many bands have emerged from the north, south, east and west of our city and with the help of our friends at Palace Law, we're giving our artists a full day of proper rock recognition.
Tune in as we reflect on the legendary guitar innovations of Jimi Hendrix, the sludgy harmonies only Alice In Chains could master, remember the hauntingly powerful lyrics of Chris Cornell and so many more!
And for the third year in a row, Seattle Rock Day is supporting the amazing work of SMASH (Seattle Musicians Access to Sustainable Healthcare), an organization providing medical, dental, mental health services and more for free or at a very low cost.
Here's how your donation can benefit local Seattle musicians:
- $25 funds one set of hi-fidelity earplugs to protect the hearing of local musicians
- $50 helps fund an eye exam and glasses
- $100 helps fund a custom dental appliance, such as a partial denture or implant
- $250 helps fund one primary care doctor visit
- $400 helps fund four visits with a licensed counselor
SMASH will also be holding an auction filled with signed memorabilia from artists like Volbeat, Halestorm, Mastodon, Royal Blood, Biffy Clyro, Chester Bennington, Jerry Cantrell, and so many more. Check out the auction on SMASH now!
