George Thorogood forced to cancel tour due to 'serious medical condition'

George Thorogood & The Destroyers will be pausing their 50th-anniversary celebration tour due to Thorogood recently being diagnosed with a "serious medical condition that will require immediate surgery."

Rockers George Thorogood & The Destroyers have been on the road celebrating 50 years of being "B-b-b-b-bad to the bone" with the Bad All Over the World – 50 Years of Rock tour since mid-February, but just before they were set to begin their spring dates, his team has provided an unfortunate update.

Sharing the news across his social channels, Team Thorogood said it was "With great sadness, we must announce the cancellation of our Canadian & U.S. tour dates from April 27, 2023 through May 21, 2023." Without giving further details, aside from surgery, George is also expected to need "quite a few weeks" of recuperation and healing. However, they add, "Rest assured George Thorogood & The Destroyers will be back. We’ll keep you updated as we know more."
