According to a statement posted to social media by Neil’s representative, Worrick Robinson, the aircraft “veered from the runway causing it to collide with another parked plane” while attempting to land. The statement cites “unknown reasons,” for the mishap at this time and states “two pilots and two passengers” were on board Neil’s plane.
Officials later revealed one person was confirmed deceased and three others were injured and transported to nearby hospitals — one in critical condition after being trapped among the wreckage. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is currently investigating the crash.
Mötley Crüe’s manager, Allen Kovac, was quick to confirm with TMZ that Neil was not on the jet, however, one of the passengers was his girlfriend, Rain, who suffered five broken ribs. Also on the plane was Rain’s friend, Ashley, along with a couple of dogs they were traveling with that are all said to have survived the crash.
Kovac concluded by sharing, “Mr. Neil’s thoughts and prayers go out to everyone involved, and he is grateful for the critical aid of all first responders assisting today.”
