While Mötley Crüe are in the midst of a brief pause from rockin’ out on their wildly successful World Tour with Def Leppard that kicked off last summer, bassist Nikki Sixx took the opportunity to chat with some fans, opening up the floor to ask him questions.

When Sixx was asked, “whom would you like to go on tour with,” on Twitter (or do we have to call it X now?), the metal icon had one simple thought which, if it actually came to fruition, would be anything but.
“I think us and Guns would destroy the world,” Sixx responded to the inquiring fan, referring to fellow '80s rockers Guns N’ Roses, of course. Obviously, the genius idea had the internet chiming in with a resounding — 'Yes please!'
"That would be an awesome concert!" one person responded. "If anyone should bring back the late '80s Sunset Strip experience it's you guys so make it happen!” wrote another.
Currently on a brief hiatus, The Crüe and Def Leppard first embarked on a North American tour with Poison and Joan Jett and the Blackhearts in June of 2022. The two bands then took their talents across the pond to Europe, where they were joined by Wolfgang Van Halen's Mammoth WVH as the opener.
As for Guns, they’ve also been actively touring since Slash and Duff McKagan reunited with Axl Rose and the band back in 2016, taking along an impressive list of legendary acts on the road including Dirty Honey, Carrie Underwood, The Pretenders, and Alice in Chains on their upcoming tour. The iconic rockers have yet to embark on a co-headlining tour.
And while we’d all love for Nikki’s thoughts to manifest into reality, that would mean GN'R frontman Axl Rose and Crü frontman Vince Neil would have to bury their 30-year-old hatchet. So basically, we’re hopeful, but not holding our breath.
Both Mötley Crüe and Guns N' Roses will kick off the next leg of their respective tours on August 5, with Crüe starting in Syracuse, N.Y. bringing Alice Cooper along for the ride, and Guns in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada.
