Songwriter Noel Gallagher has stretched and pressed Oasis' 1995 (What's the Story) Morning Glory? closer "Champagne Supernova" into a six-hour version for use in a London art gallery.

Clocking in at almost seven and a half minutes, Oasis' opus "Champagne Supernova" is already one of the lengthiest hits of their career, but the track is getting a makeover by Noel to be used as background music for an exhibit at London's National Portrait Gallery.

The new, elongated and ambient version will be part of photographer Zoë Law’s free ‘Legends’ exhibit, open November 29 through March 2, 2025, featuring over 100 portraits of individuals from the worlds of art, sports, fashion, business, and entertainment.

Portraits include U.K. World Cup winner Sir Bobby Charlton, actors Kim Cattrall, Orlando Bloom, and Sienna Miller, as well as Noel Gallagher himself.

Celebrating the announcement of Gallagher's portrait being added, Law says, “It is the greatest honour that my portrait of the Legend, Noel Gallagher, has been acquired by the National Portrait Gallery. A lasting legacy that all portrait photographers and artists dream of.”

Noel adds, “I am thrilled and honoured to have my portrait added to The National Portrait Gallery’s permanent collection. The thought of the portrait of a grumpy middle-aged man who frankly hates having his picture taken being permanently displayed for future generations to marvel at is very special. Thanks and praise.”

If frontman Liam Gallagher's recent comments hold any weight, actual new Oasis music could arrive sooner than fans would have ever expected. Apparently, there's an incredible new album on the way and Liam is "blown away" by his brother's songwriting. Isn't it nice when everyone gets along?
