Last week, while attending the 2023 Songwriters Hall of Fame's Induction and Awards Gala in New York, Sambora told United Stations Radio Networks a reunion was “not even close” to happening.

"Nah! No, not even close,” he said in response to a rumored reunion. “Nobody asked me yet — but I could do it tomorrow if they asked me."

News has been buzzing that Sambora — who was with the group from 1983 -2013 — might be rejoining the band for a performance at the Glastonbury Festival this week, however, according to Sambora, rumors are all they are.

The 63-year-old gave a very different impression about a reunion earlier this year as he told Absolute Radio that plans were in motion for him to reunite with the group following his performance with them at their Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame induction in 2018.

“We're talking about it," he shared at the time. "I don't think there's any reason not to at this point."

Sounds like the guys have a little more planning to do before they hit the stage together again, but the good news — a reunion does not seem out of the question.
