Promising “the greatest love story ever told,” Zombie’s Munsters remake looks to be a campy and creative take on the Munster family’s origin story of Lily and Herman before they settled down in 1313 Mockingbird Lane. How they met, fell in love, and did that thing they occasionally do — fry their enemies with supernatural lightning.
Zombie’s wife and frequent collaborator Sheri Moon Zombie plays Lily Munster, while Jeff Daniel Phillips, who who has worked with Zombie before in The Lords of Salem and 3 from Hell plays Herman. The rest of the cast also includes Richard Brake as Dr. Henry Augustus Wolfgang, Sylvester McCoy as Igor, Jorge Garcia as Floop, Catherine Schell as Zoya Krupp, and Daniel Roebuck as the role of Grandpa, also known as the Count.
