What are your three greatest memories at KISW? The talented people I worked with. Having Lester Smith as an owner and mentor. Reaching number one in Seattle.
What's a story you couldn't tell people back in the day? I don't want to go to prison at my age.
What band were you most proud to bring to a bigger audience? Van Halen
How has Seattle changed the most? All the cool clubs like Astor Park, Parkers and more are gone. Seattle had such a great hometown grassroots vibe. That's gone. We saw so many great shows at local clubs.
What's something you never thought you'd see? Jimmy Page's bare ass slithering out of a limo in front of the Four Seasons Hotel round about.
What's your best memory of meeting a rock star? Paul McCartney.
Life dream. I got to cut some spots for a tour of his and things got more awesome after that.
Who was your best friend at the station back in the day? Gary Crow
Name a KISW band you still love! All of them!
Favorite concert from your time at KISW? Springsteen at the Coliseum around Christmas. After the marathon show he asked my wife if he could lean on her because he was so exhausted. She said yes.
What was your most memorable band interview? Any Van Halen encounter was an event.
