On the latest episode of First We Feast’s Hot Ones Versus, Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor and percussionist Shawn “Clown” Crahan went head-to-head while fully masked up, each with a rack of spicy wings and some hot-button questions separating them.

During their chat, and before any wings were even bitten into, the Slipknot bandmates made some big revelations – as Clown gave his take on a number of masked artists like Daft Punk, Gwar, and Marshmello, and Corey ranked his own public feuds with Limp Bizkit, MGK, and Nickelback.
As for Clown, let’s just say he doesn’t think Marshmello’s look works for today, while Corey was surprisingly democratic with his answers. Taylor avoided taking a bite by ranking his spats, first explaining that he’s been doing a lot of work to better himself. With that out of the way, Corey added, “If I was going to say it with that ugly ego… at the top, I would put Limp Bizkit.” Though quickly clarified, “My issues truly weren’t even with Limp Bizkit, they were with Fred [Durst]. It was just about what Fred represented at the time, the things that were being said, and the people in the band that were actually saying stuff about us.”
Taylor put MGK second, saying “Before the beef, I did have respect for him and I liked his music. We butted heads ego-wise and creatively because of a song he and Travis [Barker] invited me to be on. Him and I are very similar, and I hope he’s figuring s*** out.”
Lastly, when it comes to Nickelback, Corey said, “Honestly, they’re just a musical echo, it’s just the same thing.” Though Clown obviously disagreed, Corey added, “There’s some stuff of theirs that I like. I thought ‘How You Remind Me’ was a good song.”
For a wildcard, the duo was then asked to each tie an actual slipknot. Both failed miserably and had to chomp a death wing, making Corey go into a hiccup fit – which is hilarious to watch while he’s in full maniac costume. Unfortunately, his next question was about calling out fellow metal singers for lip-syncing, so he decided to eat another wing “for integrity’s sake.”
“That’s very big of you," Clown joked, “good thing I didn’t get that question.”
Onto the friendship questions, Clown got Corey’s favorite musical wrong, picking the Rocky Horror Picture Show instead of his true fave, Les Miserables. Another wing down. Luckily for Corey, he did choose Clown’s favorite pop princess of all time, Britney Spears.
She’s the “real deal,” he said, “and learning more about everything with her, and still… She’s a legend.” Corey agreed adding, “she’s been through a lot and she still is.”
