On Wednesday, October 2, Three Days Grace posted a phone message from Gontier to guitarist Matt Walst to their social accounts with Adam saying, “Hey Matt, it’s Adam. I’m just running a few minutes behind, but I will be at the studio soon. If you could just let everybody know.”

Obviously big news was on the way, since Gontier left the band back in 2013, and now the cat is officially out of the bag. Three Days Grace will be making their return with frontman Adam Gontier, co-founders Neil Sanderson on drums, Brad Walst on bass, and Matt Walst continuing his vocal and guitar duties, and lead guitarist Barry Stock who joined the band in 2003.

“After performing together in Nashville around this time last year and spending time in the studio since, we’re excited to announce the official return of Adam Gontier to vocals in Three Days Grace, with Matt Walst remaining as a lead vocalist, as well,” the band said in a statement.

“I feel like it’s been seamless, better than we were expecting,” Gontier said of the reunion. “It’s like we got back in a room together and picked up where we left off. We have been friends for so long it's kind of natural to get back in the room together.”  Matt Walst adds: “It’s been so much fun and inspiring making this record. Combining over 20 years of Three Days Grace and doing something that no band has ever done. I’m excited for the fans to hear it!”

"Details about new music and touring plans are on the way," the band says. Fans can sign up for updates now at ThreeDaysGrace.com.
