Fellow black belt Ty Gay posted a couple of photos of himself and the Tool frontman on Instagram congratulating his friend and fellow black belt while others commented on his "well deserved" accomplishment.
"Congratulations to my friend, training partner, and sometimes nemesis on the monumental task of receiving his Black Belt today," Gay captioned his Instagram post. Adding it was "an amazing event, with a bunch of truly amazing people. Today, Jiu-Jitsu became just a little bit better."
Maynard also shared a post and a bottle of his Caduceus wine as a thank-you, giving followers a closer look at his new trophy. “New Chapter. Thank you all for helping me write the previous," Keenan captioned his tag-filled post.
