Jessica Biel is opening up about the side-effects of motherhood.
The actress joked that she had “baby brain” after forgetting to answer a question during the Television Critics Association Winter 2021 virtual panel for her upcoming Freeform series “Cruel Summer.”
The 38-year-old welcomed her second son, Phineas, with husband Justin Timberlake last year.
The duo are also parents to 5-year-old son Silas.
“Cruel Summer,” which draws inspiration from 90s thrillers, is slated to premiere this April.
It marks Biel’s first project since giving birth to Phineas.
The series “takes place over three summers in the ’90s when a beautiful and popular teen goes missing, and a seemingly unrelated girl transforms from a sweet and awkward outlier to the most popular girl in town, eventually becoming the most despised person in America.”
Biel and Timberlake kept the birth of their second child under wraps.
Brian McKnight and former ‘NSYNC bandmate Lance Bass were the first to reveal the news, but Timberlake officially confirmed it during a virtual appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” airing back in January.
“He’s so cute and nobody is sleeping, but we’re thrilled and couldn’t be happier. Very grateful,” the singer explained.
Biel recently supported her husband after he extended a public apology to ex-girlfriend Britney Spears and former Super Bowl Halftime Show co-performer Janet Jackson.
"I am deeply sorry for the time in my life where my actions contributed to the problem, where I spoke out of turn, or did not speak up for what was right. I understand that I fell short in these moments and in many others and benefited from a system that condones misogyny and racism,” he wrote in a statement on Instagram.
"I love you. [heart emoji]," Biel commented in support.
His apology came on the heels of Hulu’s explosive documentary “The New York Times Presents: Framing Britney Spears,” which showed Spears’ downfall at the hands of the media and those closest to her, while also addressing her 12-year conservatorship with her father, Jamie Spears, at the wheel.
