The push to get Nevadans vaccinated against the COVID19 virus just got a calendar boost.
Governor Steve Sisolak announced on Wednesday, all Nevadans 16-years-old and older will be eligible to book appointments to get a vaccine starting on April 5.
I want to be clear – opening up the eligibility on April 5 does not mean every Nevadan will be able to make an appointment & get a vaccine on April 5. Availability of vaccine & appointments will still be dependent on the allocation of doses we receive from the fed. government.

Nevadans who are 16-years-old and older with underlying health conditions will be able to make appointments starting March 23. Those vaccinations will be available through the Retail Pharmacy Program.
President Biden had challenged individual states to open vaccinations to all residents by May 1.
