Internet Explorer is no more.
In what CBS News is calling "heartbreaking news," after 30 years, Microsoft has disabled the service on all available devices permanently.
On Tuesday, Microsoft pulled the plug on the desktop version of its Internet Explorer web browser on certain versions of Windows 10, disabling the browser through a Microsoft Edge update."
Last June, Microsoft announced it would be retiring the browser.
The company said at the time, "With a growing number of websites no longer supporting Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge offers a faster, more secure, and more modern browsing experience that can still open legacy, Internet Explorer-dependent sites when needed."
