
The Kansas City Chiefs dominated the Indianapolis Colts in the divisional playoffs to earn its first appearance in the AFC Championship game since 1994.
The Chiefs defense held the Colts to only 263 yards of total offense on the way to a 31-13 victory.
Patrick Mahomes threw for 278 yards while running for a touchdown, and Damien Williams ran for 129 yards and another score, as the Chiefs beat Indianapolis for the first time in five playoff meetings.
Chiefs coach Andy Reid was summoned to the corner of Arrowhead Stadium during the game to convince fans to stop throwing snowballs on the field. Reid's intervention didn't do much good. Patrick Mahomes ran for a score moments later to give the Colts a 24-7 lead, and snowballs fell like confetti from the upper deck.

The Patriots beat the Chiefs 43-40 in Foxborough in Week 6.
