
Two men were shot to death over the weekend in Kansas City's Power and Light District.
Police say 22-year-old Leovardo Merono Junior and 29-year-old Austin Quijas were found shot on the sidewalk near East 13th and Walnut after 2:00 a.m. Sunday.
One man was declared dead at the scene. The other died at the hospital. Witnesses say a vehicle stopped near the men and someone inside opened fire.
Later, around 6:30 p.m. Sunday, two other men were shot to death in Kansas City, this time outside the Brush Creek Community Center, near Emanuel Cleaver II Blvd and Cleveland.
Police found 28-year-old Cartez Seal and 29-year-old Marcus Neal suffering from gunshot wounds.
"I just lost a nephew in 2014, now I've lost my nephew in 2019," said Karla Prince, a relative of one of the victims. "Violence, it needs to stop!"
Police say they are for one suspect in connection with the Brush Creek homicides.
At 2:30 a.m. Monday Kansas City police were called to a shooting in the 3100 block of Kensington.
They found an adult male who had been shot to death. A second adult male victim was found in a crashed vehicle at 31st and Indiana. That man was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
