Former Lee's Summit High School quarterback Drew Lock is considered a solid choice in the first round of the NFL Draft, which begins Thursday in Nashville.
Lock, who is 6-foot-4 and 225 pounds, possesses a strong throwing arm and a record-setting resume from his time at the University of Missouri.
After all the physical and mental testing at the NFL combine, Lock is ready to see where he lands.
"The hay's in the barn is what I've been told," Lock said. "There's nothing you can do. Just sit back and enjoy the process."
After finishing a college career with 99 touchdowns and more than 12,000 passing yards, Lock is ready for the next step in his athletic career. "It's been a blast," Lock said. "I've got to meet a lot of cool people. It's such an awesome experience."Some mock drafts have Lock as high as the No. 2 pick overall, while others have him going in the second round.
A common prediction has Lock being taken at No. 10 by the Denver Broncos, a divisional rival of the Kansas City Chiefs. Broncos' general manager John Elway, himself a Hall of Fame quarterback, is reportedly a big fan of Lock's.
