Independence, MO - Police are asking for the public's help in finding three robbers who broke into a Gates Bar-B-Q restaurant and shot an employee multiple times.
The employee was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to an IPD news release. The incident occurred around 2:45 a.m. Monday at the restaurant, located at 10440 East US Hwy 40.
Surveillance video shows three males, all of whom were wearning masks. One fired several shots as they were leaving.
A store manager who visited the injured employee was asked, "When can I return to work?"
