Kansas City, MO - The state of Kansas has set a new record for its worst two-week spike in reported coronavirus cases since the pandemic began, reports the Associated Press.

Gov. Laura Kelly said the state has seen at least seven new clusters of two or more reported cases in the past five days directly related to bars and restaurants. 


Now, the Sunflower State has been added to the New York state travel advisory.

Anyone travelling from Kansas to New York must quarantine for two weeks upon arrival in the state. 

Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Tuesday added Kansas, along with Delaware and Oklahoma to the travel advisory, reports ABC News.

These are the current states on New York's travel list: Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Idaho, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Nevada, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas.
