Kansas City firefighter hurt inside burning home

Firefighters investigate the scene of a house fire where a firefighter was hurt.

Kansas City, MO -- A firefighter was injured when he fell through a hole in the floor of a burning home in Kansas City, Missouri.

The fire was reported around 8:00 p.m. Saturday near 117th Terrace and Troost Avenue. Flames had spread from the living room up some stairs, firefighters said.

The injured firefighter is expected to recover from a minor burn to his back. 

The home was not occupied when the fire started.
