Johnson County, KS - A federal judge in the US District Court of Kansas has been arrested on DUI charges.
Judge Kathryn Vratil was charged with driving under the influence and improper driving on a laned road, according to Johnson County court records.
She posted a $1,000 bond.
Chief Judge Julie Robinson released a statement on the arrest: The District of Kansas is aware of the pending charge against one of our judges. This court respects the jurisdiction of the Johnson County District Court, which is handling the case. This court will handle this as an internal personnel matter and have no further comment.
