Kansas City, MO - The snow could be falling when the Chiefs Kingdom Champions Parade begins at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.
DETAILS - the parade route, the victory rally and how to get there
PARADE ROUTE
The parade will start at 6th Street and Grand Boulevard and head south about two miles to Pershing Road at Crown Center.
The route will turn right and head to Union Station, for the Victory Rally.
That is scheduled to begin at about 1:30 p.m. There will be vieing opportunities on the north lawn of the National WWI Museum and Memorial.
Because of the enormous crowd expected, the city is advising people to make a plan in advance in case they are separated from friends or family. Cell phone reception will be extremely limited, according to a city news release.
Several roads will be closed around downtown.
People who do not use public transportation are encouraged to carpool.
The Kansas City Area Transit Authority is encouring people to use Park and Ride shuttles to get downtown.
The shuttles will run from 7 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, then resume at the end of the rally until the crowd clears.
PARK & RIDE
KCATA has set up several locations for people to park their cars and use buses.
