Kansas City, MO - More than a few good people are wanted in the building trades.
The need for new tradesmen and tradeswomen is getting desperate, said Jan Burchett, executive director of the Kansas City National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI).
"A lot of the craftsmen and the people that are in this industry are aging out; they're over 50, over 60, some of them are over 70," Burchett said. "In the residential construction industry, we are looking for young people."
NARI is hosting a job fair Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 at the Metropolitan Community College Business and Technology Center.
Burchett said an interested applicant should bring a resume and dress to impress.
