KANSAS CITY, Kansas -- A school bus that was close to JC Harmon High School was struck by a bullet around 2 p.m. Tuesday, Kansas City, Kansas police said.
The school district sent out a tweet to notify parents about the incident. A teacher and a student were on the bus at the time, and neither was hurt. The district originally stated the bus had no students on board.
The bullet came from an apparent drive-by shooting near the high school.
The bullet reportedly passed through the passenger side of the bus.
