Kansas City, MO - Little Richard was one of rock ‘n’ roll’s founding fathers - his hyperkinetic piano playing, coupled with his howling vocals and hairdo, made him an implausible sensation in the 1950s.   And he changed popular music forever.

Little Richard died Saturday May 9th, 2020 from bone cancer.  He was 87.

E.J. Becker spoke with Howard Kramer, the former curator of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, about what Little Richard meant to rock 'n' roll, society at large and his lasting legacy.
