Good job Kansas City!! More than $2 million raised by ONE KC for coronavirus relief

Kansas City, MO - A one day fundraising effort led by a united group of Kansas City broadcasters brought in more than a milion dollars from the public for the Kansas City COVID-19 Response and Recovery Fund. 

When matched by the Halls & Sunderland Foundations the total rises above $2 million.

Monies raised will support relief efforts in the Greater Kansas City area including Cass, Clay, Jackson, Platte and Ray counties in Missouri and Johnson, Wyandotte, Leavenworth and Miami counties in Kansas.  Grants will be made to 501(c)(3) public charities and public organizations (Read more about the Response and Recovery Fund).

The fund expect to deploy an initial round of grants to support operations and services with focus on critical needs, including but not limited to:

  • Housing support such as rent, mortgage and utilities. 
  • Food insecurity
  • Access to health care 
  • Other critical human services.
