Country couple Maren Morris and Ryan Hurd virtually visited with Audacy's Katie Neal ahead of The 56th Annual ACM Awards, set to air this Sunday on CBS.
During the interview, the couple discussed some of the moments they’re looking forward to most on the big day from catching up with friends during commercial breaks to coordinated outfits and their debut, live performance of “Chasing After You.”

“I’ve done television before and I think I’ve been a presenter,” shared Hurd. “But I’ve never gotten to perform a song, so I’m really excited and having Maren there is definitely taking all the pressure off.”
The performance will mark the first live presentation of the single, which released in February.
“The only thing we’ve done for this song is like the music video, so I feel like getting to debut it at the ACM Awards … we just want to really bring it to life,” shared Morris. “And have people see a different side of our relationship too.”
The night won’t be all business for the couple who admits they are excited to catch up with old friends like the members of Old Dominion, Brothers Osborne and the life of every party, Lady A’s Charles Kelley.
“Charles Kelley is like an award show staple, he’s like the Mayor - Always has a drink in his hand,” said Morris. “Always passing out shots,” added Hurd. “He’s a nice guy, we like seeing Charles at the awards shows.”
