Things got off to a hilariously heated start when Brad Tursi, Trevor Rosen, and Geoff Sprung of Old Dominion sat down with Audacy’s own Rob + Holly, to dish about all things ACM including a friendly competition, a potential tie and a case of mistaken identity.

Immediately, Rob congratulated the group on their nominations, and Tursi revealed he's secretly hoping for a tie, which has actually happened. In 2020, for the first time ACM history, Carrie Underwood and Thomas Rhett both won the award for Entertainer of the Year. Specifically, Tursi mentions that he would like to tie with The Cadillac Three. "Just cause they want to beat us so bad, tying with them would be enjoyable," he expressed.
On a recent Cadillac Three song, they called themselves "the best group in Country music," and it's clear that's when the friendly competition began. Overall, the group feels "everyone gets along with each other and whoever wins, wins." Trevor Rosen did reveal he challenged Luke Combs to a beer shotgun contest, but the Entertainer of the Year nominee still hasn't gotten back to him. However, that's definitely something we'd love to see. Rosen mentioned that while many feel Combs would immediately win, the competition would be "sneaky close."
Later on, the guys discuss Matthew's obvious absence and a case of mistaken identity where he got confused for a porn star. A similar instance happened with Rob, as well, but he got mixed up with Rob $tone, the rapper.
Old Dominion is up for Group of the Year and Song of the Year. Check out Rob + Holly's entire interview with Old Dominion, as well as the "Some People Do" visual above. The 2021 ACM Awards happen live on Sunday, April 18 at 8PM ET on CBS.
