J.J. Watt asked for and received his release from the Houston Texans Friday. It may not take the three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year long to find his next employer.

ESPN's Ed Werder says that "approximately a dozen teams" have already expressed interest in signing Watt. Of those 12, the Pittsburgh Steelers, Cleveland Browns, Buffalo Bills and Tennessee Titans are known suitors, per Werder. The Steelers are notable because both of Watt's younger brothers, Derek and T.J., already play for the team.

Werder also notes that because Watt was released, he can sign immediately, as opposed to having to wait for free agency to open.

Watt, 31, is a five-time All-Pro with 101 career sacks. He's coming off of the worst season of his career, posting only five sacks in a disappointing season for the Texans, despite playing in all 16 games.
