Even though we’ve been bopping to Scary Hours 2 since the moment it dropped, we ready for Drake to release Certified Lover Boy and apparently he is too, and “soon.”

As we all are very much aware of at this point, Drizzy’s sixth studio album was supposed to have already dropped. To hold us over, last week Drake surprised us with that unexpected 3-track EP drop, including collabs with Rick Ross and Lil Baby. But now that we’ve listened to it enough times for it to be on 2021 most played list (yes that many times) we must know what the deal is with CLB.
Coincidentally, Drake had the same thing in mind and took to OVO sound radio to share a promising update, explaining that he’s been working with regular collaborators Noel Cadastre and Noah “40” Shebib and that “Certified Lover Boy is currently being chef’d in every way possible”
For those of you that don’t speak Drake, what that means, is that the album is being garnished with its final touches before it will be ready for our consumption. While Drake didn’t serve up an details about when , he did have another cooking pun for us, saying “I don’t have an exact date, but it’s in the pot and it’s coming soon.”
BRB going to set the table for this multi-course meal Drake’s getting ready to serve up. And until that is, we’ll just be here, patiently waiting for Certified Lover Boy to be ready just as we would for perfectly timed soufflé.
