Orchard Park, NY (WGR/WBEN) - With Saturday’s loss at the Patriots, the Bills have clinched the 5th-seed in the upcoming AFC Playoffs. They can’t go up or down, which means they’ll be on the road for the wild card round and play either Saturday, January 4 or Sunday, January 5. They’d also be guaranteed to be on the road again if they were to win in round one.
The only way the Bills could host a playoff game is if they make it to the AFC Championship Game and the 6th-seed does, as well. The 6th seed has yet to be determined. And so is the fourth-seed, who will be the Bills opening round opponent.
Here's the playoff scenario for the Bills, as far as who they may play in the first round. There are only to possible opponents, the Houston Texans or the Kansas City Chiefs:
The Bills will play at the Texans, unless the following happens:
The Chiefs lose next week AND the Texans win next week. In that case, they would open up at Kansas City.
