T.J. tells us that their nomination for Skeleton was completely “unexpected,” but now that they are nominees he “really wants to win!” John adds that it means a lot to the duo that their entire body of work is being recognized because he and his brother put so much thought into the eleven tracks that would make a “great album.”
The band, who is also up for Duo of the Year will also be performing at this year’s ACM Awards. T.J. shares, “the thing that is really fun is that we’re playing ‘I’m Not For Everyone,’ which is our current single, and the timing is really cool to perform it… that song, we love the message, it certainly rings true for us.”
T.J. continues, “We didn’t realize how much it would resonate with a lot of other people. At the time when we got finished with it, we didn’t think that it was going to be one of the songs in the running for a single and then there were so many people responding to it and requesting it on our socials... because we haven’t been able to perform it live!”
Don’t miss Brothers Osborne at the ACM Awards this Sunday, April 18 at 8PM ET/ 5PM PT on CBS.
