"I feel like I've been talking about doing a gospel album for a very long time so it's definitely a bucket list type of thing for me, something that I've just always wanted to do," said Underwood.

Carrie continued, "just being able to sing them and to really think, 'who am I singing these to? I'm singing these to Jesus.' Sometimes it would just be an overflow of happiness. Being in that space just felt so good, and singing these songs that just mean so much... I enjoyed every second of it."
