Just remember this: Chase Young made the play to save a Cincinnati Bengals touchdown.
But it took a lot of weird things to happen first before the correct ruling was made. The result: The No. 2 pick from the 2020 NFL Draft got the better of the No. 1 pick.
To set the scene: The Bengals went for it on fourth-and-goal from the 3 and quarterback Joe Burrow scrambled to his right and looked like he was going to score a game-tying touchdown. That is until Young came and delivered a giant hit.
But then the officials had to make a call: The play resulted in a safety, but the Bengals committed an offensive holding penalty. Then the officials went to replay review.
But then the ruling changed in Washington's favor.
What a weird call, but still a fantastic play from the rookie.
