It looks like Christian McCaffrey may already be putting his $64 million contract extension to good use.

Though there is no confirmation to this point that the Panthers star running back is the definitive buyer of a new home, many clues seem to indicate that McCaffrey and his girlfriend, Olivia Culpo, are behind the sale of the Grand Lac Chateau in the Charlotte area.

Sounds fancy, doesn't it? That's because it is. The most expensive house on the market in the area, this incredible mansion was listed for just under $8 million and features a ton of incredible amenities and jaw-dropping qualities. Built in 2018 -- which is obviously new, but sounds especially new given that it's a "castle" -- the initial homeowners commissioned the house to be "architecturally crafted to stand the test of time" and to "set a new standard for southern living" (via Zillow).

The features include:

- Six bedrooms, seven full bathrooms, and two 1/2 bathrooms
- Just under 11,000 square feet of livable, interior area on a private, 8.63-acre lot
- A four-car garage
- A 70,000-gallon pool with a hot tub and lakefront views with access to paddlesports, a boat life and more
- Automated lighting, security, audio systems (there are 130 speakers) and a kitchen filled with state-of-the-art appliances

So, yeah. This house is really, really nice -- perhaps nice enough for the highest-paid running back in NFL history and the most beloved figure in Carolina sports at the moment. What leads us to believe that McCaffrey and Culpo are its newest owners? For one, Culpo posted a picture on Instagram on October 6 that appears to have been taken in front of the castle.

The house, which Zillow says was listed for sale on September 4, was officially sold on October 1 for $7.5 million -- a 6.2% discount from what the house was listed at -- though HM Properties managing broker Josh Tucker says that the deal went down within days. He told Brianna Crane of the Charlotte Agenda that Victoria Speer, a real estate agent of Coldwell Banker Realty, contacted him with "a client ready with an all-cash offer."

That buyer under Speer is BeWater, LLC, registered in Colorado. Hmm...

Might that have anything to do with the fact that, as Crane points out, McCaffrey is a Colorado native who is a known Bruce Lee fan who uses Lee's "Be Water" mantra to aid his running game?

“It has a lot to do with fluidity and being able to adapt,” McCaffrey said of the famous quote (via Mike Jones of USA Today). “I think when you’re running through a hole and you’re hit in certain, different ways, you have to be able to move and change and make people miss. You’ve got to be able to adapt to your environment. It all relates.”

But, again, this is all just speculation. Crane notes that Tucker and HM Properties can not disclose any information about the buyer under an NDA.
