Proving to be more than just unstoppable, but also prophetic, Drake’s track “What’s Next” claims its rightful spot at “numero uno” on the “hot one hundo” just as the lyrics said it would. And thanks to the only two other tracks off his freshly released EP Scary Hours 2, "Wants and Needs," featuring Lil Baby and "Lemon Pepper Freestyle,”with Rick Ross, he’s also claimed the number 2 and 3 spots respectively, making him the first artist ever to do so.
Drake joins The Beatles and Ariana Grande as the only artists to simultaneously claim the Top 3 spots on the Hot 100. However neither did it in their respective songs’ first week of release. Which is still super impressive for them, just not quite as much.
“What’s Next” makes Drake’s eighth number one on the Hot 100, previous chart toppers include his collabs with Rihanna, “What’s My Name?” and “Work”, as well as “One Dance,” “God’s Plan”, “Nice for What”, “In My Feelings”, and “Toosie Slide.”
Hopefully some Certified Lover Boy jams come our way and claim some more top spots soon. Guess for now, we’ll just have to wait and see what's 'bout to happen next, Okay? Until then if you haven’t already, check out the music video for “What’s Next” below.
