As we’re moving right along through award season, The Oscars are up next, which means Oscar parties are back in action. And when it comes to well known Oscar bashes, besides the Vanity Fair Afterparty, Elton John's AIDS Foundation Academy Awards benefit is always the most star-studded invite only ticket in town… until this year that is.

When speaking of the event, Elton asserted, “Now more than ever, we need to ensure that one pandemic does not override another, and we cannot forget the 38 million people living with HIV globally who need our care, love and support.” And that’s exactly what he once again intends to do.
Per the events official press release, Elton shared that, ”This year, we are bringing our Oscar Party into people’s homes for the first time virtually for an unforgettable evening.”
This year, The 29th annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Pre-Party will be hosted by Neil Patrick Harris along with Elton and his husband, David Furnish. And since each year the evening features musical performances by the hottest artists, it should come to no one’s surprise Dua Lipa was this years selection, and she is set to give a stripped-down performance.
Produced by Fulwell 73 at Rosewood London, tickets to the 60-minute pre-party, are on sale now for just $20.00. The event will stream via Cisco Webex on April 25 at 7PM ET in North America only, with three additional start times to accommodate different time zones, allowing 100,000 virtual attendees per viewing. Organizers promise to feature "many fabulous surprise names" in addition to Harris and Dua.
