Rob Shuter of the Naughty But Nice podcast reported that Ari signed a deal with NBC that is worth somewhere between $20 to $25 million. This deal would put her in line with Katy Perry, who reportedly earns $25 million per each American Idol season over at ABC. Perry essentially confirmed her Idol income during a conversation with Howard Stern last year.

In comparison, Grande’s fellow Voice coaches make significantly less than the “Positions” singer. When Kelly Clarkson signed on she started at $15 million per season, Shuter reported. And, John Legend and Blake Shelton make around $13 million per season.

The women of The Voice are dominating. Ariana Grande is taking the place of Nick Jonas and shared in an announcement on Instagram that she is “beyond thrilled.”

In a statement via NBC Ari added, “I’m so honored and excited to join The Voice family! I have been a huge fan of the show for such a long time. I can't wait to go head-to-head with the incredible coaches, get to know these new artists and help to take their craft to the next level."
