The 2021 ACM Awards are still days away, but the first winners have just been announced.

Keith Urban delivered a very special message to Jimmie Allen and Gabby Barrett informing them that they were the winners of the New Male and New Female Artist of the Year at the 2021 ACM Awards.
Both Allen and Barrett were delivered videos of Urban announcing that they had won the award. Appropriately, both beamed with joy upon hearing the news and were elated by the surprise.
As winner of the New Male and New Female Artist of the Year awards, Allen and Barrett will get the opportunity to perform at the 2021 ACM Awards.
Urban will be joined by Mickey Guyton as co-host of the 2021 ACM Awards. "I’m beyond thrilled to be co-hosting with my friend Mickey,” Urban said at the time. “I love that finally everyone will get to see her infectious energy and uber creative spirit in full light."
“Last year I had the opportunity to perform at the Academy of Country Music Awards with someone I long admired, Keith Urban, and this year I am incredibly excited to share hosting duties with him,” Guyton added.
“As I’ve said before ‘if you can see it, you can be it,’ and it’s such an honor to step onto the ACM stage as the first ever Black woman to host the show. Over the years, the Academy of Country Music has always been a home for me through opportunities both onstage and throughout their work on diversity and inclusion. This is a moment of great significance for me and I am so thrilled to share it with all the fans.”

The 56th annual ACMs celebration will air live on CBS on Sunday, April 18 at 8PM ET / 7PM CT once again from Music City, bringing fans into some of Nashville’s iconic Country venues -- including the Grand Ole Opry House, the Ryman Auditorium, and the Bluebird Cafe -- for a second consecutive year amid social distancing guidelines.
