Not everyone is a fan of Baker Mayfield, but New York Giants head coach Joe Judge certainly is.

As the Giants prepare for their Sunday Night Football matchup against the Browns, Judge was asked about the quarterback his team will be up against this week.

“I love the f—-ing attitude he plays with,” Judge said, via Yahoo! Sports. “He can play freeze tag in a phone booth and come out a winner.”

Judge, who also described Mayfield as an “elite competitor,” quickly realized he got a little too comfortable in his Zoom call with the media.

“Can we edit that out?” he asked. “I apologize for my language.”

Mayfield, after experiencing a bit of a sophomore slump last year, has played well in his third season with the Browns, especially of late.

In his last three games, the 2018 No. 1 overall pick has thrown eight touchdowns to one interception and has averaged 311.7 yards per game in that span.

The Giants, on the other hand, have a bit of a dilemma at the quarterback position.

Daniel Jones, who returned from a strained hamstring last week, appears to have another injury in his left ankle and his status is uncertain for Sunday’s game against the Browns.

Still, Judge made sure to include some nice words of his own quarterback as well.

“We’ll see how he moves in practice, we’ll see how this progresses throughout the week,” he said. “I can tell you he’s optimistic, but I’,m gonna tell you right now if his left arm was attached by rubber band, he would tell us he’d figure out a way to get it done.”
