Country singer Jordan Davis joined Country Now Live on the Ctrl_Music_ Twitch channel this week for a high-energy, full band, virtual live concert.
Right after his set, Davis spoke with host Lauren Black for an exclusive Q&A where he got into the weeds about music, family life, and more -- including a tease about a new project he's got on deck.

“We have new music that’s going to release really soon," Jordan told Country Now Live. "I can’t give dates and I know everybody always says like ‘oh, new music soon.’ So, I’m sorry that I can’t give the exact date but I can say like really, really soon we’re going to have a new project out.”
Also grilled on his biggest musical inspirations, Davis admits "the reason I fell in love with music is John Prine. In my opinion, he’s the best songwriter that ever lived. My dad introduced me to him at a young age and I can’t tell you the last day with probably not listening to some John Prine songs."
Another musical inspiration for him throughout his career has been Kenny Chesney. “He’s up at the top of the mountain," says Davis. "I think he’s just amazing, I went to one Kenny show and I was like ‘this guys unreal.’ I would love to do something with Kenny Chesney.”
So why not just put out a collaborations album, already? "That’s a great idea," he says. "I should just start texting people being like ‘hey, we should do some songs together.’”
Other artists confirmed to take part in the Country Now Live series on Twitch include Elle King on April 14, Riley Green on April 21, and Lindsay Ell on April 28. Additional artists will be announced in the coming weeks.
