During an Instagram Live session, Katy spoke about how her first daughter has already “changed my life.” Perry says, “she changed my life and still continues to change my life.” The singer, who just performed in Washington D.C. during the Biden-Harris inauguration went into explaining that since birthing Daisy she’s truly learned the meaning of prioritization. Katy’s normally demanding schedule has shifted greatly in order to spend more time with Daisy.

The “Never Really Over” singer shares that she has created “boundaries” in her personal life and adds, “I think that you realize that when you become a mother... you just have to focus on being a mom. And it's not because you don't love other people, it's not because of anything besides you just want to be a great mom."

Katy continues, “So a lot of stuff falls away when you become a mom and it is the best job in the world. I highly recommend it when you're ready."

Plus, the newborn has allowed Perry to focus on being present. Katy shares she’s always “working on” being in the moment. "I see my daughter change so much in the past five months and looking back at photos it's like, 'Whoa,'" the “Firework” singer exclaims. "You see time in human form and it's like… now she's got chunky cheeks,” Perry sweetly adds.

Katy profoundly concludes, "In a way, it's really encouraged me to be even more present and to value every day. And all we have is this moment. That's what's promised is this moment and nothing else."
