The 38-year-old previously disclosed she was feeling under the weather and had to miss show tapings. In her absence, good friend country singer Kelsea Ballerini stepped in to mentor Clarkson’s team.
But now viewers can rest assured knowing the “Stronger” singer will soon rejoin Blake Shelton, Nick Jonas and John Legend on the NBC series.
“You are doing such an amazing job @KelseaBallerini!!” Clarkson tweeted. “Thank you for taking great care of #TeamKelly for me. See y’all next week! #TheVoice.”
So it looks like Clarkson will be back on Monday, April 12th.
The news of her return comes as Clarkson disclosed she once had a bathroom disaster while performing on stage.
During a recent episode of her talk show “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” the “American Idol” alum was interviewing Clint Black when the conversation turned to the topic of when nature calls while in the midst of a performance.
“How many of us haven’t peed on stage?” Black asked. The question sparked a memory for Clarkson who proceeded to tell a story that some may consider TMI.
“There was one time it wasn’t pee, my friend,” Clarkson said. “ I got some kind of wrecked up from some kind of food. I had to run backstage to my quick change, I grabbed this poor trash can and boy, I destroyed it. It was bad. It happens, what are you supposed to do?”
Clarkson always keeps it real and that’s partly why she is so beloved.
