Trae Young hasn't exactly ingratiated himself with the New York NBA fan base.

First, he frustrated Nets head coach Steve Nash with his play, which didn't come across as legitimate basketball to the Hall of Famer.

Days later, the Hawks faced off against the Knicks and Young's foul-drawing ways caused head coach Tom Thibodeau to blow a gasket on the sidelines.

The Hawks and the Knicks wouldn't meet again until Monday night at Madison Square Garden, a contest that the home team took by double digits and that extended the Hawks' losing streak to four games. Julius Randle continued his phenomenal campaign with 44 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists, while young studs RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickly both had solid outings. So, for the most part, Knicks fans were happy. There wasn't much to complain about.

But there was something. Something that even the local broadcasting network couldn't ignore.

That's a foul? Did Taj Gibson "hold, push, charge into, impede the progress of an opponent by extending a hand, arm, leg or knee or by bending the body into a position that is not normal," as the NBA rules state? Didn't look like it to me. And, based on the sardonicism of Knicks Twitter, it didn't look like it to them either.
